I know a lot of people out there talk endlessly about how devastated Ten looked at the end of Doomsday over losing Rose, but I think something a lot of people forget to mention is how depleted of life Nine looked when he thought that Rose had been killed. He falls to his knees, without crying, without screaming. He just falls to his knees and stares at the ash left behind, fingers stroking the ash. He doesn’t care how loud the guard next to him is shouting at him, he doesn’t care how hard he’s being yanked around by him either. The look in his eyes, just…Just look up at his eyes and tell me that you don’t feel your heart shattering on the floor.
In the next scene, he’s completely numbed down. He’s thrown hard against a metal fence, and he has no reaction. His Sonic Screwdriver is forcibly removed from him, still no reaction. He has completely shut down, he’s empty inside. To him, nothing is worth saving anymore. He has lost the woman that he loved with all of his soul.
Also in the next minute after that, we see him not giving a damn how hurt the guards are, he doesn’t give a damn. For at this point, he couldn’t care less, because he thinks that they killed Rose. The only thing that matters to him is fighting in Rose’s name.
Christopher’s acting in everything mentioned above was some of his best work in Doctor Who and in his career. It hurts so much to know that Doctor Who lost his talent, to me, Eccleston will always be king when it comes to playing the Doctor.

This is just more proof of how much I really enjoyed Christopher Eccleston’s run as the Doctor. And I had one of my good friends tell me just recently that she had just finished the Christopher Eccleston season and wasn’t crazy about it. It was all I could do to keep my mouth shut. GRRRRRRRRR

People were created to be loved. Things were created to be used. The reason why the world is in chaos is because things are being loved and people are being used. Emmanuel, Shapes of Silence  (via swayinghummingbirds)

Love says, “This is my body, given up for you.” Abortion says, “This is my body, so I can take your life.” Abortion is the opposite of love. Yet in Jesus Christ we already have the victory of love and of life. Father Frank Pavone (via kvalenciaaa)

It actually hurts to read this

“Sex has nothing to do with love”
/ignores notable scientific evidence of brain chemistry reactions to sexual intercourse which are part of a bonding process and can be detrimental to one’s emotional health if post-coital contact is handled the wrong way, i.e. one night stands

Every heart sings a song, incomplete, until another heart whispers back. Those who wish to sing always find a song. At the touch of a lover, everyone becomes a poet. Plato  (via remenorarmonica)

Jealousy is indeed a poor medium to secure love, but it is a secure medium to destroy one’s self-respect. For jealous people, like dope-fiends, stoop to the lowest level and in the end inspire only disgust and loathing. Emma Goldman (via corona-borealis)

The devil is afraid of us when we pray and make sacrifices. He is also afraid when we are humble and good. He is especially afraid when we love Jesus very much. He runs away when we make the Sign of the Cross. St. Anthony of the Desert, Abbot (via badwolfcomplex)
Love is not merely a feeling; it is an act of will that consists of preferring, in a constant manner, the good of others to the good of oneself. Blessed Pope John Paul II (via nerdynerdface)

And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:37-39 ✝ (via joecatholic)

If Jesus has your heart, He will have your will. If He has your heart, He will have your emotions, your affections, your intellect. And if He doesn’t have any impact upon your hands, your feet, and eyes and your ears, what you do with your body, then you are deceiving yourself when you say, “Jesus has my heart” because He most certainly does not. Paul Washer (via iwilltrustinyou)
Spread love everywhere you go: first of all in your own house. Give love to your children, to your wife or husband, to a next door neighbor… Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God’s kindness; kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile, kindness in your warm greeting. ~Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta (via thevirtuechallenge)
